Back in the day advertisers placed ads where people physically gathered to get name recognition in their market. You may remember seeing pictures on grocery carts, park benches, and restaurant menus to get people's attention for products or services. Fast forward to 2021 and most of us now gather digitally on social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram. There are many avenues we can take on these platforms, but I only want to discuss paid ads for this post. To get the most from your paid ads, you will need to install what is called a “Facebook pixel”. This is a tracking code easily placed on your website that tracks who has engaged with you. Why is this important? We want to collect this data so we can retarget our marketing campaign to these people. Since they have already engaged with us, I consider them warm leads and better prospects than cold leads. Besides, it opens the door to a conversation when we do reach out in person or over a phone follow-up. It's really a sales funnel. The beginning of the process to convert leads from customers to clients. Facebook ads are a powerful marketing tool and can be targeted in many ways and to different audiences. It will take a little time and patience to dial in on the target audience, but I believe the rewards will pay off if your goal is to grow your business and expand your digital presence.
